History: In 1892, a group of interested citizens met to form the library association.  By 1928 several women's clubs had organized and helped establish a city library in the basement of the courthouse.  It was opened in 1932, offering it's services to the citizens of Cheyenne County.  In 1987, a new library was opened, thanks to a generous donation of $87,418, a state construction grant ($134,366) and donations from citizens and organizations in the community.
The purpose of the St. Francis library is to have a good selection for it's patrons to choose from and to provide computers for public use.
Projects:  Library programs of Children's Story Hour (winter), Summer Reading programs, Summer fun sessions.
